Dr. Adam Tattelbaum an ivy league plastic surgeon with three location in the Washington D.C. area discusses the trend of natural breast augmentation.  Looking back ten years ago the overall trend in breast augmentation was much larger than today. And in the 90’s most wanted to look like Pamela Anderson.  Today most patients are bringing their own social media photos of breasts they like and the trend is more natural.

Dr. Tattelbaum says he likes the current trend the best, he says “I like my patients to look lovely and believable.  I like a result where the patients can dress their figures up or down depending upon the circumstances.  Business like when needed and sensual when desired”.

Dr. Tattelbaum recommends the following for those researching breast augmentation:

  • Don’t think cup size initially, think person size.  Look for a proportion that fits your body, your height and your hips.
  • An implant that is small may seem appealing to  some, bot too small can actually look less natural than an implant that fits your frame correctly.  When you try on sizers look at your entire torso and hips, not just the breasts.
  • Silicone implants tend to look and feel more natural than saline.  Round is preferred over teardrop because if they rotate it will make no difference.  Round also creates a teardrop look when under the muscle.
  • Bring different form fitting blouses to your consultation to see how you will look in different situations.

Spend some time researching what looks best on you.  Visit your surgeons office a few times if you like to try on sizers.  The last thing you want to do is make a last minute decision on surgery day.
