GoPro easily tops 4Q estimates

It appears fourth quarter results for high-definition camera make GoPro look picture perfect to Wall Street. The company reported fourth quarter revenue of $633.9 million with earnings of 99 cents per share. Shares of GoPro were up 1.1% in after-hours trading. The fourth quarter revenue haul is more than double what they made in the third quarter, and up 75% compared to the same time last year. GoPro says it shipped 2.4 million capture devices last quarter, more than they did in all of 2012.

“We’re feeling good,” said GoPro GoPro Founder and CEO Nicholas Woodman in a statement. “GoPro was one of the best-selling products this holiday, selling-in an average of 1,000 units per hour for the entire quarter.”

For the fiscal year, GoPro revenue jumped 41% compared to the previous year, reaching $1.39 billion. Earnings per share reached $1.32, more than double last year.
