CONNECTICUT MAN Launches Kickstarter campaign to PUBLISH PARKINSONS MEMOIR

‘Between Two Winters’ A Memoir of Living with Parkinson’s at at age 50.
Danbury, CONNECTICUT – JAN 27, 2015 – It can be hard to admit when one knows something is wrong but wants to go on living as if there isn’t.  Then one day something will happen that will bring the illness and the fantasy to a head, thereby forcing the ill person to focus on the reality of the terrible disease. Such was the case for Ramesh Malayappan, Connecticut native who learned he had Parkinson’s disease at the age of 48.

Malayappan struggled to come to terms with his diagnosis for two years and finally, in 2014, was forced to accept it, thus gaining a new perspective on life.  He hopes that by chronicling his struggles and his eventual triumph over the worsening, debilitating consequences of his steadfast denial, he might be able to help others who might encounter a similar situation at some point in their lives. He is writing a memoir, “Between Two Winters”, that will be professionally self-published in August 2015. He has launched a Kickstarter campaign to help fund the publication and distribution of this book.

“On July 1 2014 morning, I woke up,” relates Malayappan, “I called my wife to my side and  told her to take me to the hospital so I could die peacefully. I was convinced that I had too many failed organs, including lungs, kidneys, pancreas, liver and colon and that it was futile to try to survive.”
This is a story about how Malayappan dealt with a life altering disease, learnt from the survival experience, evidenced reactions from friends and family in ways that he did not expect and got a new perspective of life.
Angel investors helping fund the Between Two Winters Parkinson’s Memoir campaign to the next level will be eligible for perks such as thank you’s, a printed book or an ebook.

Ramesh Malayappan understands not everyone may be able to give money to help the “Between Two Winters” campaign, so he asks that those who cannot give monetarily help by spreading the word about the “Between Two Winters” Parkinson’s Memoir project online through social media such as Facebook, Twitter and Tumblr or record a video challenge for Vine, Facebook or Instagram to invite friends to give to or share this Kickstarter fundraiser.
