To honor this exciting new platform, TriCoast Entertainment has collected a list of films with a similar theme – when good priests turn bad.

Here’s our list of our favorite priests in film that turned out to be mischievous, violent and downright creepy:

1. Spotlight (2015)

Follow The Boston Globe’s investigative journalists as they uncover the widespread epidemic of child sex abuse by priests in the Boston area.

2. The Exorcist (1973)

Jason Miller takes on the role of a young priest who is battling his own faith, as he struggles alongside 12-year-old Regan (Linda Blair) who has been possessed.

3. The Cardinal (1963)

Another Boston priest that turned bad, as he confronts several personal and nationwide issues, such as Nazism and bigotry as he rises to ultimate power as the cardinal of the office.

4. Salvation (2017)

Brett Donowho plays Pastor Daniel Helms, a welcoming priest who lets the wrong visitors into his new small Kansas house.

5. Doubt (2008)

This award-winning cast of Meryl Streep, Philip Seymour Hoffman and Amy Adams dives into the rumored relationship between a troubled girl and a priest.

6. Signs (2002)

Mel Gibson stars as Reverend Graham Hess, who becomes violent when defending his family against space aliens.

“SALVATION” has been awarded in the US as winner of Best Narrative Feature, Best Actor, Best Director, and Best Special Effects at the Los Angeles Cinema Festival in Hollywood. “SALVATION” stars Brett Donowho, Angel McCord, Ryan Donowho, and Giovanna Zacarias, who intersect in the small town of Kansas, with a shocking end.
